The Art of Holding Space

Don't get me wrong.

I love playing for weddings! My first wedding gig was playing for my boss & a coworker when I was still a teenager.

After all these years of gigging, however, I realized that the subsequent years to that very Special Day may not be getting the attention that modern Individuals need to thrive.

The unease may show up as:

• Do you feel invisible?

• Are your needs not getting met?

• Does talking about it make it even worse?

• Do you still feel lost despite trying a zillion ways - friends' advice or family traditions - that don't work for you?

You are not alone.

I've been there, too - as a wife, a mom, a daughter, even as a musician.

And yet, reacting from the friction or numbing down is often what also leads us to the most challenging outcomes down the line.

Where are you now in your relationship? Perhaps it's a mild adjustment, a wish to re-spark the spark, or the need for authenticity. Ask: What do I need? Then, listen to that inner voice.
